Propunere sau raport?
Ambele au titlu, subtitluri și un registru formal. Diferența ține de timp:

La C1 Advanced, propunerea poate apărea în Partea 2 a probei de scris (220–260 de cuvinte). De obicei cineva (un director, o primărie, un club) cere idei și tu scrii o propunere ca să-l convingi.
Structura
- Titlu: Proposal for a student mentoring scheme
- Introducere: ce propui și de ce.
- Propunerea în detaliu: ce anume, cine, când, cum.
- Beneficii: de ce merită.
- Concluzie: un ultim argument convingător.
Limbaj persuasiv și formal
- propui: I would like to propose… / The aim of this proposal is to…
- explici: The scheme would involve… / This could be achieved by…
- beneficii: This would enable students to… / One major benefit would be…
- costuri, obiecții: The cost would be relatively low, since… / While this would require…
- încheiere: I am confident that… / I strongly believe that this scheme would…
Observă condiționalul (would): vorbești despre ceva care încă nu există.
Model
Introduction. The aim of this proposal is to suggest a mentoring scheme to help first-year students settle into college life.
The scheme. I would like to propose that each new student be paired with a volunteer from the second or third year. Mentors would meet their mentees once a week during the first term to offer practical advice and support.
Benefits. One major benefit would be that new students would feel less isolated. In addition, mentors would develop valuable leadership skills, which would strengthen their CVs.
Conclusion. The cost would be minimal, as mentors would be volunteers. I am confident that the scheme would make a real difference to student well-being.

Introducere. Scopul acestei propuneri este să sugereze un program de mentorat care să-i ajute pe studenții din anul întâi să se adapteze la viața de colegiu.
Programul. Aș dori să propun ca fiecare student nou să fie pus în pereche cu un voluntar din anul doi sau trei. Mentorii s-ar întâlni cu cei pe care îi îndrumă o dată pe săptămână în primul semestru, ca să le ofere sfaturi practice și sprijin.
Beneficii. Un beneficiu important ar fi că studenții noi s-ar simți mai puțin izolați. În plus, mentorii și-ar dezvolta abilități valoroase de conducere, ceea ce le-ar întări CV-ul.
Concluzie. Costul ar fi minim, deoarece mentorii ar fi voluntari. Sunt convins că programul ar schimba cu adevărat starea de bine a studenților.
