My main argument is that a sugar tax would improve public health.
There is strong evidence to suggest that it works: in Mexico, consumption fell by 12%.
Structura: afirmația + dovada + ce înseamnă: This shows that…, This clearly demonstrates…
| Concesia | Replica |
|---|---|
| I accept that… | but that doesn't mean that… |
| That's a fair point, … | however, it overlooks the fact that… |
| While it's true that… | the evidence suggests otherwise. |
| Granted, … | but the real issue is… |
Granted, the tax would hit poorer families harder, but the money could be used to fund school meals.
- I'm not sure the evidence supports that.
- That argument assumes that…
- Where's the evidence for that? (direct, de folosit cu grijă)
- That's a sweeping generalisation.
Închei
To sum up, the benefits of a sugar tax clearly outweigh the costs.
Pe scurt, beneficiile unei taxe pe zahăr depășesc clar costurile.
Ultimately, it comes down to this: do we value public health more than personal choice?
