Două opțiuni, un răspuns
Când trebuie să alegi (un apartament, o vacanță, un job), nu spui doar „îmi place mai mult asta”. Compari avantajele și dezavantajele, apoi alegi:
On the one hand, the flat is cheaper. On the other hand, it's far from the centre.
Pe de o parte, apartamentul e mai ieftin. Pe de altă parte, e departe de centru.
The bus is cheap, whereas the train is faster.
Autobuzul e ieftin, în timp ce trenul e mai rapid.

Compared to the hotel, the hostel is much cheaper.
Față de hotel, hostelul este mult mai ieftin.

Personally, I'd choose the second option.

On the one hand, a village is quiet. On the other hand, there are fewer jobs, so I'd rather live in the city.
Pe de o parte, un sat e liniștit. Pe de altă parte, sunt mai puține locuri de muncă, așa că aș prefera să locuiesc la oraș.
