Cât de mare e diferența?
În A2 (Lecțiile 22–24) ai învățat comparativul, superlativul și as … as. La B1 adaugi cuvinte care arată cât de mare este diferența:

This hotel is much more expensive than that one.
Hotelul acesta e mult mai scump decât celălalt.
My new phone is slightly faster than my old one.
Telefonul meu nou e puțin mai rapid decât cel vechi.
She's a lot taller than her brother.
Ea e mult mai înaltă decât fratele ei.
as … as cu nuanțe
Poți arăta cât de aproape sunt două lucruri:
It's not nearly as hot as it was yesterday.
Nu e nici pe departe la fel de cald ca ieri.
My flat is almost as big as yours.
Apartamentul meu e aproape la fel de mare ca al tău.
The train is just as fast as the plane.
Trenul e la fel de rapid ca avionul.
This bag is twice as heavy as that one.
Geanta aceasta e de două ori mai grea decât aceea.
Superlativul: by far
Pentru un superlativ care se detașează de restul, folosești by far:
This is by far the best restaurant in town.
Acesta este de departe cel mai bun restaurant din oraș.
the same as, different from, similar to
