Ce este „have got”?
În engleza britanică, „a avea” se spune foarte des have got. Înseamnă același lucru ca have, dar se folosește mai ales în vorbire.
| Forma lungă | Forma scurtă | În română |
|---|---|---|
| I have got | I've got | eu am |
| you have got | you've got | tu ai |
| he has got | he's got | el are |
| she has got | she's got | ea are |
| it has got | it's got | are (lucru, animal) |
| we have got | we've got | noi avem |
| they have got | they've got | ei / ele au |
La fel ca la to be: has merge cu he, she, it; have cu toate celelalte.
I've got a new phone.
Am un telefon nou.
She's got two brothers.
Ea are doi frați.
We've got a big garden.
Avem o grădină mare.
Când folosești „have got”
- pentru lucruri pe care le ai: I've got a car.
- pentru familie și prieteni: He's got three children.
- pentru cum arată cineva: She's got blue eyes.
- pentru boli ușoare: I've got a cold. (Sunt răcit.) I've got a headache. (Mă doare capul.)
Forma negativă
Pui not după have sau has. Forma scurtă este aproape mereu cea folosită:
| Forma lungă | Forma scurtă |
|---|---|
| I have not got | I haven't got |
| he has not got | he hasn't got |
| they have not got | they haven't got |
I haven't got a car.
Nu am mașină.
She hasn't got any brothers or sisters.
Ea nu are frați sau surori.
Întrebări și răspunsuri scurte
La întrebare, have sau has trece în față, iar got rămâne după subiect:
Have you got a pen?
Ai un pix?
Yes, I have. / No, I haven't.
Da, am. / Nu, n-am.
Has she got a dog?
Ea are un câine?
Yes, she has. / No, she hasn't.
Da, are. / Nu, n-are.
He's got sau he's?
Forma scurtă 's poate însemna is sau has. Te ajută cuvântul got:
He's got a car.
El are o mașină. ('s = has)
He's a doctor.
El este doctor. ('s = is)
Have got sau have?
Poți spune și doar have, fără got: I have a car. Este la fel de corect și este forma obișnuită în engleza americană. Diferența apare la negație și întrebări (I don't have, Do you have…?), pe care le vei învăța la Present Simple, în Unitatea 5.
