Cel mai mare, cel mai frumos
Superlativul spune că ceva e „cel mai…” dintr-un grup. Regulile seamănă cu cele de la comparativ (Lecția 22), dar cu the înainte și -est sau most:

- Cu un loc sau un grup: in: the tallest building in the world, the best student in the class
- Cu o perioadă sau o listă: of: the hottest day of the year, the youngest of three brothers

O combinație foarte frecventă: superlativ + I've ever + participiu:
It's the best film I've ever seen.
E cel mai bun film pe care l-am văzut vreodată.
That was the most delicious cake I've ever eaten.
A fost cea mai gustoasă prăjitură pe care am mâncat-o vreodată.

Clujul e unul dintre cele mai mari orașe din România.
După one of the + superlativ vine substantivul la plural: cities, nu city.
