Patru părți
O povestire scurtă (60–100 de cuvinte) are de obicei patru părți:
- Când și unde: Last summer, I was on holiday in Crete.
- Fundalul, la Past Continuous: The sun was shining and I was swimming in the sea.
- Evenimentele, la Past Simple, cu cuvinte de legătură: Suddenly, I saw…
- Finalul și ce ai simțit: In the end, … I was very happy.
Un exemplu complet
Ascultă fiecare propoziție și observă timpurile:
Last summer, I was on holiday in Crete with my family.
Vara trecută, eram în vacanță în Creta cu familia.
One morning, we were walking along the beach and the sun was shining.
Într-o dimineață, ne plimbam pe plajă și strălucea soarele.
Suddenly, my daughter saw something in the sand. It was a small turtle!
Deodată, fiica mea a văzut ceva în nisip. Era o broască țestoasă mică!
We called a man from a local group. He took the turtle to the sea.
Am sunat un om de la un grup local. A dus broasca țestoasă la mare.
In the end, the turtle swam away. We were really proud and happy.
Până la urmă, broasca a înotat departe. Am fost foarte mândri și fericiți.
Last winter, I was on a train to Leeds with my friend Ben.
It was snowing and we were reading our books.
Suddenly, the train stopped. Then the lights went out.
After that, a woman in the next seat laughed and gave us some biscuits.
Finally, after an hour, the train moved again. We were tired, but we were very happy.
Traducere în română
Iarna trecută, eram într-un tren spre Leeds cu prietenul meu Ben.
Ningea și ne citeam cărțile.
Deodată, trenul s-a oprit. Apoi s-au stins luminile.
După aceea, o femeie de pe scaunul de alături a râs și ne-a dat câteva biscuiți.
În cele din urmă, după o oră, trenul a pornit din nou. Eram obosiți, dar foarte fericiți.
